YOUR HOME STUDIO – artists with studio space within the towns of Bolton & Harvard are welcome to open their studio to the public for the weekend.

BOLTON COMMON – artists that wish to set up a tent and/or table space at the Bolton Common

HARVARD – 2nd floor of the Harvard General Store (indoors) and outside of the Harvard General Store in 10×10 tents. Space is limited so artists are added in a first come/first serve basis.

Please note that participating artists are responsible for their own set-up/display and sales, and must be in attendance during the event hours.

$30 per artist (to be used for creating printed maps and other advertising)

We hope that you can participate both days, but single days are also an option (for the same $30 fee). The dates and hours of the 2024 event are Saturday, Oct. 5 (10am – 4pm) and Sunday, Oct. 6 (12pm – 4pm).

We will be creating printed maps with the studio and group venue locations. To be included on this map you must sign up by JULY 15.   However, you can sign up anytime before the event...if you have a home studio, you will not be on our paper map but you will be on our digital map online.

We ask that you help with promoting the event with your network and social media groups. As a participating artist, you will be listed here on our event website with name/business name, thumbnail photo of a piece of your artwork (your choice), studio address (or location for the event), medium, and your website address, if you have one (see the links above for last year’s artist list as an example). We will be distributing lawn signs advertising the event the month beforehand and we ask that you put them out two weeks before the event takes place. We also have “save the date” postcards to distribute, and paper maps showing the locations of participating artists printed in August for distribution to advertise the event.

Our show at The Bolton Library will be on display for the month of September and will help advertise and give a preview of artists at Open Studios. Participating artists are invited to display a piece in this show. 

BHOS is volunteer-run. If you would like to help with organizing the event, please let us know! We are looking for help with the following:

- Distribution of paper maps at businesses (especially at our business sponsors) around Bolton & Harvard during the month before the event (starting in late August). This would also entail checking these businesses periodically to keep the supply refreshed.

-SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM – We are looking for 3 volunteers to create a team to help promote the event on social media platforms

- Assist in hanging shows at the Bolton Public Library in early September.
