Info for Participating Artists
Bolton & Harvard Open Studios will be holding their 8th annual event on the weekend of October 4 & October 5, 2025. This is an opportunity to celebrate local artists and artisans, and our home communities too. We would like to invite artists in Bolton & Harvard, as well as our neighboring communities to participate in this event.

OPTIONS FOR LOCATIONS (which will be shown on our paper & digital maps):
YOUR HOME STUDIO – Artists with studio space within the towns of Bolton & Harvard are welcome to open their creative space to the public for the weekend.
OUTSIDE AT A HOME STUDIO ARTIST – If you’re an artist who doesn't have a home studio in Bolton or Harvard we can help match you with a space outside at a Bolton or Harvard artist’s home
studio.
HARVARD GENERAL STORE – HGS Inside (2nd floor) or outside at with your own 10×10 tent. Space is limited so artists will be accepted first come first served.
Please note that participating artists are responsible for their own set-up and sales, and must be present for the entire event.
Cost to Artist
$30 per artist (to be used for creating printed maps and other advertising)
Time Commitment
We hope that you can participate both days, but single days are also an option (for the same $30 fee). The dates and hours of the 2025 event are Saturday, Oct. 4 (10am – 4pm) and Sunday, Oct. 5 (12pm – 4pm).
Deadline to Sign Up
We will be creating printed maps with the studio and group venue locations. To be included on this map you must sign up by AUGUST 1. However, you can sign up anytime before the event...if you have a home studio, you will not be on our paper map but you will be on our digital map online.
Advertising
We ask that you help with promoting the event with your network and social media groups. As a participating artist, you will be listed here on our event website with name/business name, thumbnail photo of a piece of your artwork (your choice), studio address (or location for the event), medium, and your website address, if you have one (see the links above for last year’s artist list as an example). We will be distributing lawn signs advertising the event the month beforehand and we ask that you put them out two weeks before the event takes place. We also have “save the date” postcards to distribute, and paper maps showing the locations of participating artists printed in August for distribution to advertise the event.
Volunteering for BHOS
BHOS is volunteer-run. If you would like to help with organizing the event, please let us know! We are looking for help with the following:
- Distribution of paper maps at businesses (especially at our business sponsors) around Bolton & Harvard during the month before the event (starting in late August). This would also entail checking these businesses periodically to keep the supply refreshed.
-SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM – We are looking for 3 volunteers to create a team to help promote the event on social media platforms.
